For all you process lovers, here’s a production video of our laser-cut, acrylic jellyfish for our installation in Pop Art at Halo, taking place at Halo Lounge on May 29th. We’ve been working with Ted Ullrich who has been making the concept structurally sound.

The wait is almost over! This is the final teaser image for our Medusa II tee that we’ve been planning for several months now. We’re making the final tweaks on the graphic and turning to our friends Andrew & Ed at Danger Press for help with the production end. Like we always do at EC, every printed garment will remain unique in its own way. Believe me, you’re going to fall out when you see the finished piece.
Wow! We had the weirdest weekend ever and we’re kind of glad it’s over. Let’s start the week off with another production shot from last Saturday’s Medusa II shoot. We’re looking at Jorge Menes working his underwater camera rig as Carla Gunter poses. Click here to see a larger image.
I apologize for the lack of updates (we’ve been really busy), but here’s a juicy one. Last weekend, Jorge Menes captured some great images for us to use on our “Medusa II” tee. Here’s a sneak peek/extreme close-up of our favorite shot. Thanks to Carla Gunter for doing a great job of modeling underwater. I know it’s not easy, according to America’s Next Top Model. Stay tuned for more “Medusa II” updates…

Megan Huntz has taken our process to the next level. Now we’re working with dyes, deconstructing tees, putting zippers where they’re not supposed to be, and even printing on unitards. We’ll reveal all of the crazy-collaborations in due time (most of which are one-off originals). We’re getting our ideas on the table while she’s still here. She’ll be leaving us for Italy in October and we’ll be forced to collaborate via the web. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to convince her not to leave, but I don’t think it’s working.
We’re also combining the Medusa II photo shoot with Megan Huntz Dresses on the 23rd of September. Send models. We are still looking for two more. Contact Us!
In other news, we’ll have Project Fourt @ Coke HQ updates soon, along with submissions for another awesome show with the fun kids at MINT Gallery at the end of the month. Have a good weekend guys!
This EC icon is getting a makeover. Georgios and I took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium to take live action stills of jellyfish for our upcoming “Medusa II” tee. Here’s a tight crop of a photo we took while hogging the real estate in front of the jellyfish tank. We stood there taking pictures for over 45 minutes, annoying the tourists to no end…but they deserved it for bringing their snotty, crying children. So, I’m not sorry. [Just kidding, I’m not a baby hater…]
We’ll be recruiting models, experimenting with dyes, and shooting with Jorge Menes, whom you should know by now as EC’s go-to guy.
For hints of what the tee may end up looking like, refer to our tee, Angelica II. I’m sure it’ll be much different from what we’re expecting now when the project is finally done.

I’ll be updating the EC blog with everything we do concerning the making of this new tee, Medusa II. So stop by soon!
