Charlotte’s Black Sheep Skate Shop has teamed up with Alien Workshop for a limited edition deck that will be released on Friday, December 2nd, 2011. The original artwork was created by Alien Workshop co-founder Mike Hill. To celebrate this release, Black Sheep has teamed up with CharlotteSkate for a photo retrospective of the skateboarding scene in Charlotte featuring over 20 years of local skateboard history from photographers, including Brian Tucker, Richie McCorkle, Jason Waters, and Mark Hansen.
The photo reception is from 6pm to 10pm, but the party lingers on the Camden Block at Dharma Lounge for Hella!! PRSNTS: Care Package charity to benefit Levin’s Children Hospital with DJ Mike the 2600 and BLNGxBDGT.

Our new collection of We Are the Process is available online now at WeAreTheProcess.com and select retailers around The South. This is personally my favorite collection so far and I’m not just saying it. There’s something for everyone. We used 3M reflective ink, we made a letterman jacket, we worked with New Era. The list goes on. I crossed a lot of things off my personal design-career bucketlist with this collection. I hope you guys enjoy the effort. #GrowTheBrand #SupportTheSouth
Find the brand in person at:
Standard in Atlanta
Black Sheep in Charlotte
Centre in Dallas
Rock City Kicks in Fayetteville
Shouts to Jorge Menes for the concept and execution of our newest lookbook.

The spitter from the Queen City, Stranger Day, brings us this new banger for the car to hold us over until the new new drops. Everything Over Anything, produced by DJA, is the perfect Carolina Panthers tailgame jam. Charlotte stand up!

Two of my favorite artists, Righchus and Stranger Day, have finally worked together on the track, Been Gone, which is one of the many bangers on Righchus’ newest EP, Black Cradles. I hope this is just the beginning of what’s to come from these two well-versed Southern gents! South Carolina & North Carolina stand up!

Today we received Stranger Day’s beautifully-crafted press kit in the mail. As if hard copies of his Bar Stool Bounce EP weren’t cool enough, we received an assortment of stickers (not pictured), and a huge mason jar full of Stranger Day branded MOONSHINE! I took a swig straight out of the jar and I breathed hot lava for the next hour! We’re going to drop some peaches in this jar and keep it in our studio. We’ll belligerently force you to do shots of Stranger Day “Peach State” Moonshine with us if you visit! Fair warning!

Charlotte, NC’s Stranger Day announces his latest moonshine-laced effort, Bar Stool Bounce. One listen to BSB’s first track Not Playin’ affirms why he is known for shutting down bars and clubs all over the Southeastern US. “It’s theme of the record,” explains Stranger Day. “I don’t buy into labels [ie hipster hip-hop, underground, etc]. I make music on my terms and am not trying to fit into some category.” Not Playin’ has been featured as a free download on fuse.tv for a month, the video premiered on MTVU, was featured on AOL music and was recently added to the national in-store programming for Harley Davidson dealerships.
A distinctive blend of southern swagger and classic rock guitar makes the BSB EP the perfect soundtrack for your summer house party.

Perhaps the most popular pro skater in the world, Eric Koston, signed to Nike SB last year and we’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of his signature model sneaker. The Koston 1 SB has finally dropped to select retailers and proves to have been worth the wait. It is extremely lightweight and features a Lunarlon insole for extra impact absorption and comfort. The nearly one-piece solid, suede upper takes styling cues from the Bruin SB in a new streamline silhouette with minimized leather swoosh resulting in a nice mix of form and function. What do you guys think? I can’t decide which colorway I want to rock first! Pick up your pair at Black Sheep Skate Shop.
